D2C Kitchenware Startup Curaa Raises ₹40 Cr To Expand Portfolio
Bengaluru D2C kitchenware startup Curaa raised ₹40 Cr ($4.2M) Series A led by 3one4 Capital to broaden its product portfolio and expand distribution.
Curaa, a Bengaluru-based direct-to-consumer kitchenware startup, raised ₹40 Cr ($4.2 Mn) in a Series A funding round led by 3one4 Capital, per Inc42. Existing investors Kae Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Better Capital all participated in the round.
The company plans to deploy the capital across several fronts: broadening its product portfolio in the pre-cook and cooking categories, expanding warehousing and supply chain infrastructure, scaling its presence across D2C channels, marketplaces, and quick commerce, and hiring senior leaders, according to Inc42.
Founded in 2024 by Neeraj Kumawat and Sanjyot Keer, Curaa designs kitchen appliances and tools aimed at Indian households. Its current lineup spans choppers, blenders, hand mixers, kettles, and induction cooktops, as well as tableware. The company claims to have grown monthly net revenue 25X since launch and to have served over 3 lakh households. Keer is also the founder of Your Food Lab, a culinary content platform with 7 million YouTube subscribers and nearly 4 million Instagram followers; Curaa draws on that audience's insights to guide product development and design.
3one4 Capital framed its investment thesis around a structural shift in the category. "We led Curaa's Series A round, driven by the conviction that the kitchen products market is ready for a structural transition from legacy commodity retail to trusted, product-led commerce," the firm said, as quoted by Inc42.
Curaa's raise comes amid a broader wave of investment into Indian D2C kitchenware. The Indus Valley closed a $17 Mn Series B in June, and Cumin Co raised $5 Mn in pre-seed funding led by Fireside Ventures earlier this year, both per Inc42. The Indian kitchenware market is projected to grow at a 6.10% CAGR over the next seven years to exceed $5.5 Bn by 2033, according to Inc42. A separate segment of players — including upliance.ai, Posha, and Beyond Appliances — is pursuing smart appliance strategies that integrate AI and connected technology into kitchen hardware.
With fresh capital in hand, Curaa's stated near-term priorities are portfolio expansion and senior hiring, positioning the two-year-old company to compete across both online and quick-commerce channels as the D2C kitchenware category continues to attract funding.
