Nexedge Capital Nets $20 Mn To Scale HNI Wealth Management Platform
Nexedge Capital raised $20M in its first funding round, co-led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners, to expand its HNI wealth management platform in India.
Nexedge Capital, an India-focused wealth management and multi-family office platform, raised $20 Mn (₹191.4 Cr) in its maiden funding round, per Inc42. The round was co-led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners.
The company plans to deploy the capital across three broad areas: strengthening its technology stack, expanding its network of senior bankers, and deepening its geographic footprint across India. A portion will also fund new business lines, including a dedicated NRI proposition and an NBFC business, according to Inc42.
Launched in 2025 by ex-360 ONE Wealth executives Anirudha Taparia, Sidhartha Shaw, Vijeeta Sharma, and Pankaj Walia, Nexedge provides bespoke financial services — investment planning, portfolio management, and estate planning — to high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), ultra-HNIs, families, and corporates. The platform claims to have crossed $3 Bn in assets under management and over $5 Bn in assets under administration across 18 months of operations, with more than 1,300 client families, a presence in 12 locations, and a banker base of 95, as reported by Inc42. "This capital gives us the ability to accelerate our banker onboarding, deepen distribution across the country, and offer our conflict-free Net Worth advisory to more families," founder Taparia said.
For Elev8 Venture Partners, this marks its second major investment since closing its maiden ₹1,400 Cr fund in September 2025. The VC firm previously led a ₹100 Cr Series A in asset servicing startup Dovetail Capital in July. Elev8 managing partner Navin Honagudi said in a statement: "India's HNI and UHNI wealth pool is at the start of a multi-decade compounding cycle… Nexedge stands out for its structural clarity, the depth of its founding team, and its ability to build client trust at a pace few platforms in this space have matched."
UHNI-focused wealth management is shaping up as a distinct niche within India's broader fintech landscape, per Inc42. Peers include Dovetail Capital, CREST — which raised $3.1 Mn in a pre-seed round in June after coming out of stealth — and Atyx.AI, an AI-driven wealth management platform launched in July by ex-Share.Market CEO Ujjwal Jain following his departure from PhonePe. The India wealth management market is projected to exceed $436 Bn by 2034, with the number of Indian millionaires forecast to double to 1.8 Mn by 2030 from roughly 900,000 today, citing a UBS Global Wealth report.
Nexedge's stated next steps include accelerating banker onboarding, broadening its national distribution, and rolling out the NRI and NBFC offerings funded by this round.
