Complete Farmer CEO Desmond Koney joins Endeavor Nigeria network

Endeavor Nigeria has selected Desmond Koney, founder and CEO of Complete Farmer, into its global entrepreneur network, following a multi-stage process that concluded at Endeavor's International Selection Panel in Athens, Greece, per Disrupt Africa.

Koney was selected alongside 27 other entrepreneurs leading 16 companies from markets across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, according to Disrupt Africa. Endeavor Nigeria managing director Ireayomide Oladunjoye said Koney "was building a Ghanaian company with a distinctly regional and global opportunity" and that the selection was "an important opportunity to strengthen the connections between entrepreneurs across West Africa and the broader global network."

Complete Farmer is an agricultural trading company that connects international commodity buyers with smallholder farmers in Ghana and Togo. The company works with more than 72,000 farmers, is supported by more than 350 field agents, and operates eight fulfillment centers handling aggregation, grading, quality control, and export logistics. Its international buyers include Aldi and Lidl, per Disrupt Africa.

Beyond agricultural trading, the company has expanded into a marketplace for farm inputs and equipment, and has launched a credit product that uses farm data to help farmers access financing, according to Disrupt Africa.

Complete Farmer is the first Ghanaian company to join the Endeavor network. In a statement cited by Disrupt Africa, Koney said he sees the selection as "something bigger than Complete Farmer," describing it as "a bridge between Ghana's entrepreneurial ecosystem and a global community of founders, investors and business leaders," and noting a responsibility to "open doors for others" and help more Ghanaian entrepreneurs access resources and relationships.
