Baby-Focused Quick Commerce Startup Peeko Nets $7 Mn To Double Dark Store Count
Peeko raised a $7 Mn Series A led by Chiratae Ventures to expand its Bengaluru dark store network from three to six locations by year-end.
Peeko, a Bengaluru-based babycare quick commerce startup, raised $7 Mn (₹67.4 Cr) in a Series A round led by Chiratae Ventures, per Inc42. Existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners and a group of angel investors also participated.
The fresh capital brings Peeko's total funding to roughly ₹95 Cr, including the ₹28 Cr it raised last year, according to Inc42. Cofounder Chetan Sharma told Inc42 the funds will primarily go toward expanding its presence in Bengaluru, improving product assortment, and building out its technology stack. The company, which currently employs around 60 people, also plans to hire for key roles as operations scale.
Peeko came out of stealth last year and was founded by former Leap Finance executives Chetan Sharma and Abhijit Gairola, along with ex-OYO executive Vivek Khetan, as Inc42 previously reported. The platform delivers babycare products — including kid apparel, toys, shoes, diapers, wipes, personal care items, and baby food — within an hour. It currently stocks around 30,000 SKUs across three dark stores in Bengaluru, up from 5,000–6,000 SKUs at launch, and lists more than 100 Indian and international brands, including Dr. Brown's, Cetaphil, Sebamed, Mothercare, and Pantaloons, Sharma told Inc42.
A differentiating feature of the platform is its "touch and feel" model: a rider delivers the order and waits at the doorstep while the customer inspects the products; anything unwanted is returned on the spot with an instant refund. Sharma said most customers use this option on their first transaction, which the company credits with improving retention. Peeko's revenue has grown nearly 5X since the beginning of 2026 despite being confined to a single city, per Inc42.
On the competitive landscape, Peeko faces Ozi in the babycare quick commerce segment, though Inc42 notes Ozi currently serves only the Delhi NCR region. The broader market context supports both players: India's babycare products market is projected to reach $9.72 Bn by 2031 at a CAGR of 11.78%, per a Mordor Intelligence report. The quick commerce segment overall is expected to reach $68 Bn in gross merchandise value by 2031, up from $8.3 Bn in 2026 — roughly an 8X increase at a 52% CAGR — according to an Inc42 report.
Peeko's three existing dark stores currently cover roughly 55% of Bengaluru pincodes. The company plans to open three more dark stores by the end of 2026 to cover the full city, and intends to expand to additional Indian cities by early next year. The startup is also exploring AI-led products designed to guide parents in purchasing decisions, Sharma told Inc42.
