Investcorp acquires 20Cube to expand its presence in India’s growing logistics market
Investcorp acquired 20Cube's India contract logistics unit for Rs 500 crore and plans to deploy up to Rs 750 crore more to build a pan-India warehousing platform.
Global alternative investment firm Investcorp acquired the Indian contract logistics business of 20Cube 3PL Solutions for Rs 500 crore, per YourStory. The deal was announced on August 19, 2026.
Beyond the acquisition price, Investcorp plans to invest a further Rs 500 crore to Rs 750 crore alongside 20Cube's founders to acquire complementary businesses and build a pan-India contract logistics platform, according to YourStory. Founders Anand Seetharaman and Ranjan Kedia will continue to lead the business. The deal also involves a carve-out: the India contract logistics operation will be separated from Singapore-headquartered 20Cube Logistics, which will retain its focus on international freight forwarding.
The Indian business currently operates more than 7 million square feet of warehousing space and aims to expand that footprint to more than 20 million square feet within four to five years, the YourStory report states. Managing Director Seetharaman said the company has spent years building a customer-centric, digitally enabled contract logistics platform and is now positioned to expand its technology capabilities and strengthen its nationwide network.
Investcorp's head of India investment business, Gaurav Sharma, said in a statement reported by YourStory that the firm already participates in India's logistics sector through NDR Warehousing and Miebach Consulting. Partner Varun Laul highlighted 20Cube's on-demand multi-client warehousing model — which integrates transportation and value-added services — as a differentiator in a market he described as largely driven by fixed-space, manpower-based contracts.
The acquisition arrives as India's logistics industry undergoes consolidation driven by rising manufacturing activity, supply chain modernisation, and growing demand for organised warehousing, according to YourStory. E-commerce growth and the expansion of organised retail have also increased demand for modern storage facilities, while third-party logistics providers have increasingly adopted automation, data analytics, and multi-client warehousing models to improve asset utilisation.
With the additional capital committed and a stated expansion target, the company's near-term focus will be on acquiring complementary logistics businesses and scaling its warehousing footprint, per YourStory. The founders remaining at the helm suggests continuity in operations as the platform broadens its national reach.
