Egypt’s Exits MENA signs a multi-7-figure full acquisition of Avanz Capital Egypt
Egypt's Exits MENA agreed to fully acquire private equity firm Avanz Capital Egypt in a multi-seven-figure deal, with initial approval from Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority.
Exits MENA, Egypt's investment platform and advisory firm focused on startups and SMEs, signed a multi-seven-figure full acquisition of Avanz Capital Egypt (ACE), a private equity and asset management firm, per Disrupt Africa. The transaction has received initial approval from Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).
Under the terms of the deal, ACE's existing management team will remain in place following the close. CEO and managing director Haytham Wagih retains responsibility for the firm's operations and investment activities. "We are now better aligned through ownership participation. Our team remains in place and will continue to expand. Our investment process remains unchanged," Wagih said, as quoted by Disrupt Africa. The structure is designed to give ACE's existing investors and clients continuity in line with international private equity standards.
Exits MENA was founded in 2022 by Mohamed Abuelnaga Nagaty, Ayman El Tanbouly, and Ahella El Saban, according to Disrupt Africa. The company describes itself as the region's first investment platform and advisory firm focused on startups and SMEs, and has expanded into seven global markets. It has built more than 75 global partnerships, launched three ongoing investment-readiness programmes, and supported more than 2,000 businesses across the region.
The acquisition marks a step in Exits MENA's stated strategy to build an integrated financial group serving investors, startups, SMEs, and financial institutions across Egypt and the broader MENA region. By absorbing ACE's private equity and asset management capabilities, the combined entity aims to develop what Disrupt Africa describes as "scalable and impactful private capital opportunities."
The deal remains subject to full regulatory completion following the FRA's initial approval. ACE's management team is expected to continue expanding its operations under the new ownership structure, with the investment process described as unchanged going forward.
