D2C Brand Be Clinical Bags ₹21 Cr To Double Down On Clinical Skincare
Indian D2C skincare brand Be Clinical raised ₹21 Cr (~$2.2M) in a seed extension led by Sauce, with V3 Ventures and several angels participating.
Be Clinical, an Indian D2C skincare startup, raised ₹21 Cr (about $2.2 Mn) in a seed extension round led by Sauce, with participation from existing investor V3 Ventures, per Inc42.
The round also included several angel investors: Mokobara founders Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal, Reckitt SVP and MD for Greater China and North Asia Arjun Purkayastha, and Shaunak Chirayu Amin. Be Clinical plans to deploy the capital toward R&D, expanding its skin, body, and haircare portfolio, scaling manufacturing capacity, entering new geographies, and strengthening its team and clinical testing infrastructure, according to Inc42.
Founded by Hemangi Dhir and launched in 2025 after two years of R&D, Be Clinical develops clinically tested skincare products containing dermatologically active ingredients targeting ageing-related concerns among Indian consumers. The company operates an in-house manufacturing setup and conducts its own clinical testing before product launches. It claims to have fulfilled 1.2 lakh orders since launch, with a healthy share of repeat purchases. Its portfolio includes products such as PlumpX Serum, FirmX Serum, Revive 10 Eye Cream, and Neck Repair Cream, sold primarily through its own website and on Amazon and Flipkart. Prior to this round, the company raised ₹6 Cr in a seed round led by V3 Ventures with participation from Titan Capital, and before that, ₹2 Cr from Titan Capital and P-TAL founder Aditya Agarwal.
Sauce VP Zoeb Ali Khan framed the investment around a broader consumer shift: "'Longevity is expanding into how people look and feel — and Be Clinical is capturing that shift in personal care through a full-stack model with in-house R&D, manufacturing, and clinically tested formulations. We see this evidence-led approach as a genuine differentiator in the category, and feel this market and demographic is untapped,'" he told Inc42. Be Clinical competes with domestic brands including Dr Sheth's, Pilgrim, Innovist, and Mamaearth, as well as global players Clinique, Neutrogena, and Cetaphil.
The fundraise arrives as consumer demand for clinically validated, active-ingredient skincare continues to grow in India, giving D2C entrants a differentiation path in a crowded beauty and personal care (BPC) market. India's BPC market was valued at $31.19 Bn in 2025 and is projected to reach $48.72 Bn by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 5.08%, according to IMARC Group data cited by Inc42. Investor appetite in the segment has stayed active: earlier in August 2026, Typsy Beauty raised ₹20 Cr in a round led by Saama Capital, Inc42 reported.
With fresh capital in hand, Be Clinical says it will expand into new markets and geographies while continuing to invest in its clinical testing and manufacturing capabilities, per Inc42.
